Archie Watson expects the trip and surface to suit Absolute Blast when she tackles the Group Three Koffy Diamond Stakes at Dundalk on Friday.

The five-year-old has been on the go since last December, with her success in the Magnolia Stakes at Kempton back in April being followed by some creditable efforts at Pattern level, including when second in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom in June.

Absolute Blast was last seen when bagging nearly £20,000 for finishing third in a Listed event at Veliefendi racecourse in Turkey, but Watson expects this 11-runner heat to be more to her liking.

He said: "She's in very good order and I think the extended 10 furlongs back on a proper synthetic surface will suit her.

"I think this will be her last run before her date at the December sales, so we will have to see what happens there."

Absolute Blast is not the only British-trained raider, with Sir Michael Stoute sending Abingdon, who takes a step down in company after being well beaten in the Yorkshire Oaks.

Aidan O'Brien runs three in last year's winner Long Island Sound, De Coronado, the full-brother to former American star Zenyatta, and French Derby fifth War Decree.

Ger Lyons fields both Elusive Heights and Tennessee Wildcat, while Kevin Prendergast's Aneen, who ran in the Irish 1,000 Guineas earlier in the year, is another to note.

O'Brien fields interesting newcomers in Dramatically and I Can Fly in the first and second divisions of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden respectively, while Joseph O'Brien is responsible for no less than four of the 11 runners in the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Handicap.

Jaqen H'Ghar, Felix Mendelssohn, Eagle Spirit and Wooster all turn out for the Co Kilkenny handler.
