Landsman is part of a strong Irish challenge for the Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket on Saturday.

Tony Martin's chosen representative won at Fairyhouse in July and steps back up in trip after catching the eye doing good late work in a valuable handicap at Leopardstown last month.

Willie Mullins runs Laws Of Spin, Digeanta and Lagostovegas while Noel Meade's useful hurdler Snow Falcon also makes the trip along with the Joe Murphy-trained Swamp Fox.

The well-backed Endless Acres is also among the maximum field of 34 in the staying contest.

Trained by Charlie Fellowes, the improving four-year-old has not been seen since finishing second to Thomas Hobson at Royal Ascot in June.

"It was a very easy decision not to run him since Ascot and aim straight for this," said Fellowes.

"Ascot hit him hard. He's still a bit babyish. He's a late foal and by Champs Elysees so bred to be a late maturer and that day it was very fast ground and 30C.

"He looked like he needed a break so I said to the owners we'll turn him out in the field and aim straight at the Cesarewitch.

"He's goes very well fresh - he won first time out - so I'm not worried about the absence. I didn't need a prep run.

"His form is rock-solid and everything has gone smoothly. We now just need a bit of luck."

Rolling Maul and Percy Veer are the two reserves.
