Born To Size opened his account when making most of the running to land the Munster Beginners Chase at Thurles.

Robbie Power, sporting the familiar Potts colours in which he landed three Gold Cups on Sizing John earlier this year, got a good round of jumping out of the five-year-old in this 2m2f event.

The 2/1 favourite kept on well in the straight to floor a wholesale gamble on Youcantcallherthat who was available at 16/1 earlier in the day and supported from 11/2 into 7/2 on track.

Denis Hogan did well to stay on board the gambled-on mare at the second last but soon lost his whip, and could make no impression on the run-in when beaten four lengths.

The pair drew clear from Charlotte’s Charm who was a further 22 lengths away in third.

Trainer Liam Burke, who was also leading up the winner, said "He was frustrating and can be highly strung but jumped perfect.

"He jumped brilliant the whole way and he didn't go mad. When the other horse (Silent Account) took him on for the lead I was a bit concerned but he wasn't stupid about it and used his brain today, which he wasn't doing over hurdles.

"I might see what handicap mark he gets now and find another race over fences."
