Mullins appeals ban

Rider Danny Mullins (in action at Hexham today) has appealed the five day suspension imposed on him by the stewards at Thurles yesterday.

Mullins and trainer Liam Casey were found to be in breach of Rule 212(a). Having taken both records in this regard into account, Mullins picked up a 5 raceday ban and was ordered to forfeit his riding fee.

Furthermore, the Stewards fined Liam Casey €2,000 and suspended Omega Springs for 42 days.

Appeal hearings in the Turf Club on Monday, November 20th commencing at 9.30am. David O'Meara (Larchmont Lad, Knockaire Stakes), Danny Mullins, and Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy (Suitor - Down Royal November 4th).
