Unowhatimeanharry makes an unscheduled reappearance in the Read Noel Fehily At 188Bet Hurdle at Aintree on Saturday.
The nine-year-old has won nine of his 10 starts for trainer Harry Fry, with his sole defeat coming when third in last season's Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
He put that behind him when turning the tables on his Cheltenham conqueror Nichols Canyon at Punchestown in April and while Fry had been planning to return his stable star to competitive action in Newbury's Grade Two Long Distance Hurdle on December 2, such is his well-being there has been a change of heart.
"Aintree wasn't on the radar, but he's so well at home and this race fits in nicely," Fry told Press Association Sport.
"He's got an 8lb penalty, but it will certainly be nice to see him back in action and we're looking forward to it."
Unowhatimeanharry concedes 8lb to just two opponents in the two-and-a-half-mile contest.
The diminutive Top Notch did fantastically well as a novice chaser last term, winning four times before finding only Yorkhill too strong in the JLT at Cheltenham.
He reverts to the smaller obstacles for the first time since finishing fifth behind Annie Power in the 2016 Champion Hurdle.
Trainer Nicky Henderson said: "There's only three runners and this is a perfect starting point for us all really.
"Unowhatimeanharry is a top-class staying hurdler. This is only two and a half miles, so we'll see what happens.
"Top Notch will go back over fences after this and we're aiming at the two-and-a-half-mile race at Ascot (Christy 1965 Chase, November 25).
"There was really nowhere to get a run in over fences, which is why we're going back over hurdles with him on Saturday."
Dan Skelton's Value At Risk is the other runner.
