Champion Apprentice Jockey Oisin Orr completed a double at Dundalk this evening when riding the well supported Timia to win the concluding Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap (div 2) for trainer Keith Clarke.

The daughter of Cape Cross had previously won her only previous race at Lingfield in January 2016, when trained in England by Ed Dunlop, and today was supported from 2/1 generally this morning in to 6/4 favourite.

Following the race, Clarke stated “she's been very unlucky and last year she was second and got a bad fracture behind so we're lucky to have her back.

“We have a very patient owner in Alistair (Porter) and he's listened to everything I've had to say and it's worked out great. She's a good filly but the most important thing is we got a winner for an owner who has been very patient and deserves it.

“We can stay in 45-65 because I think that's her category and she got a peach of a ride from Oisin.”
