Synopsis gave Gordon Elliott a Punchestown double when delivering in the novice handicap hurdle.

The mare unleashed her challenge, under Jack Kennedy, off the home bend and picked off Templemore Dream before the last.

She was driven out on the run-in to win going away by two and a half lengths at 13/8.

Templemore Dream (4/1 from 6/1 but 15/8 in morning trading) came home second. Geneva Barracks the 6/4 favourite, had just come off the bridle in third when he stumbled and unseated Mark Walsh before the home bend.

“She's a grand mare and she won well the last day,” Gordon Elliott said.

“Mark (Walsh) was a bit unlucky, he seemed to clip heels and obviously you don't know what would have happened.

“The race kind of fell apart but it was nice that she won. We'll look for another handicap hurdle somewhere for her.

“That's her first run in a handicap so I'd be happy with it.”
