Connections of Crackerdancer will not rush the promising mare back into action following her fall at Fairyhouse last month.
The Ray Hackett-trained eight-year-old was a leading contender for the Grade Three Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle after a most striking debut over the smaller obstacles at Limerick in December.
However, she looked beaten when coming to grief two out and subsequent tests showed her to have been below-par.
Hackett said: "She had no ill effects from the fall, but she did come back with a very bad lung infection, and her bloods were all wrong. We are not looking for excuses, but she just wasn't herself on the day.
"She is after having a heavy course of antibiotics, but seems to be back to herself again now.
"We will just wait and see how she is over the next fortnight or so, we won't plan anything now until we see how she is working at home."
Hackett's charge holds an entry in the Trull House Stud Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, but he added: "It might be a rush to get her ready for Cheltenham, we won't rule it out completely, but there are lots of races at home for her.
"We won't rush her just for the sake of Cheltenham. We won't put her under any pressure, as soon as we are happy with her we will look to see what's on the programme."
