Nicky Henderson is keen to let Buveur D'Air go for a repeat success in the Betway Aintree Hurdle provided conditions are in his favour.

Having reported the seven-year-old to be in good order after defending his crown in the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday, the Seven Barrows handler will now consider stepping him back up to two and a half miles for the Grade One contest on April 12.

"Buveur D'Air is fine this morning and is as sound as a pound. You have to dissect the whole thing at the end of the day and we will sit down on Sunday morning and start to think what we do next," said Henderson.

"I would think and hope we will go to Aintree, as that is what we did last year and I imagine we will do that as long as the ground stays on the easy side, as he does need that."
