Cadawill sprang a 25/1 surprise in the Follow @tipperaryraces.ie Handicap Hurdle, as he got the better of the 9/2 favourite Timmone

Last successful over fences at Tramore in December, the Rodger Sweeney trained nine-year-old disappointed on his last two starts at Kilbeggan and Wexford respectively.

Prominent throughout under Andrew Lynch, the son of Mohaajir led narrowly from three out and was ridden from before the last, battling on gamely to hold off the challenge of Timmone by half a length.

The front two went three and a half lengths clear of Whitber's Choice (25/1) in third, while the well-backed Something Sweet (14s to 8s on-course) was another six and a half lengths back in fourth.

Sweeney said afterwards: "He is earning a bit of money the whole time the devil and Andrew (Lynch) is the only man that gets on with him and is able to wind him up.

"He didn't do a tap the last two times and we always thought he wanted good ground but he won on heavy ground in the past also. But it depends which Cadawill turns up!"
