The Princetonian was another well-backed winner at Clonmel today when striking in the mares maiden hurdle.

It's been a good couple of weeks for young Darragh O'Keeffe and he got the leg up on Jessica Harrington's charge in the two-mile three-furlong contest.

The 7/2 favourite (7/1 this morning) came to claim the front-running Koroleva going to the second last and stayed on stoutly in the closing stages.

The Oscar mare went on to record a length-and-a-half victory as Harrys Gift just prevailed for the runner-up spot from Our Roxane

The winner was placed in three bumpers and was fifth on her hurdling debut at Down Royal late last month.

Harrington said afterwards:- "She has been unlucky but she has got her win now over hurdles. She ran into more horses in bumpers but they have been great at persevering and this is brilliant.

"She'll go for one of those Listed mares' novices next because she'll only have another two or three more runs and then she'll head off to stud.

"She was bought to breed from and is Rock On Ruby's full-sister so is valuable enough!

"Darragh is now two wins from three rides for me."
