The Sarah Lynam trained Tyrconnell gained a second win in as many months at Dundalk this evening when landing the Dundalk Stadium Apprentice Handicap (div 1) under regular rider Danny Sheehy.

The son of Bated Breath gained his maiden win at Laytown in September before following up with a second success at the Co Louth venue on November 21 and today beat Victorious Secret by two lengths to secure a third career success.

Afterwards Lynam stated “it was nice that he did it over seven, it's a little bit of variety.

“He was very good and I thought he won easy today. Hopefully he'll come out of it okay and he might run again next week.

“I freshened him up at home and kept him ticking over. He was bucking and squealing so I though he should run well but you never know with him as he's a bit of a monkey and that's why he wears the visors.

“He strode out well to the line today so it was good. He probably got a bit of confidence from the last day.

“He was good there and I was surprised he did it so well. It's nice to get it right as I was worried I was running him over the wrong trip for a while.”
