Backed from 8/1 into 7/1 Gordon Elliott's Swingbridge tracked the leaders and he travelled well and got on terms three out.
Soon in front the Noel and Valerie Moran-owned eleven-year-old asserted after two out, keeping on strongly, easily defeating 2017 victor Auvergnat by eight lengths.
"He had a lovely run at Punchestown and he had a lovely weight today and I was hoping for a nice run," further explained Kennedy.
"I was always where I wanted to be and it worked out well in the end."
"I'm going in for an operation tomorrow to get a screw out of my leg; the screw is after breaking so it's giving me a bit of bother. I'd rather not to get held up as things are going well but I'll be back in three weeks, hopefully two."
Elliott and Kennedy were doubling up on the card after the earlier success of Flaxen Flare
A. Ring, rider of Wishmoor trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
