Uisce Solas continued on an upward curve when landing the concluding mares bumper at Tipperary this evening for Declan Queally.

The Presenting mare had opened her account at Wexford last month and followed up in tonight's winners contest.

Declan Queally junior had his mount to the fore on the outer throughout as most of the field elected to stay off the rail in the rain softened ground.

The 7/1 shot (from 14/1) went on ront two furlongs from home and galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-quarter win over the newcomer Domitian Botani sent to post the 4/6 favourite, attempted to challenge two furlongs out but faded before the furlong marker and had to settle for fourth.

The winning jockey said:- "She’s lovely. She has improved with every run. I thought when there was no pace there today, I’d let her slip along in front and it worked nicely.

“She was green when she hit the front in Wexford and, though she only won by a length and a half, she had plenty left.

“I thought when she had so much left in the locker I’d chance to a winners’ bumper and thankfully it’s worked out for the owner.

“We’ll probably give her a month’s break now - I wouldn’t like to risk her on summer ground. We may go summer hurdling, and she’s a nice mare to look forward to.”
