The John Morrison-trained Arch Melody landed a nice gamble in the Crown Bar Handicap Chase at Wexford this evening.

The Arcadio gelding was making his first start in handicap this evening and was backed from 33/1 this morning into a 6/1 shot on course.

Sean O'Keeffe produced his mount to lead turning for home in the two-and-a-half mile contest and galloped on strongly from the last to beat Double Windsor by two-and-a-quarter lengths.

O’Keeffe said:- “He winged fences all the way. I met the last a bit deep but in fairness he was good and clever to get himself out of trouble.

“He travelled and finished out well. He was getting stronger and stronger once he passed horses.”
