The 7/4 favourite Two Shoe Tom landed the Sweeney Oil (Mares) Maiden Hurdle for Peter Fahey and Kevin Sexton.

Runner-up in three bumpers, the winner got a bit of experience over hurdles in the winter and had no issues with the rain-softened yielding ground here.

“I thought she was the best horse in the race and that she’d win,” said winning rider Sexton.

“She deserved it on her bumper form. She was placed in a Listed bumper at Navan.”
