Well Suited (11/1) added to a Chelmsford City success from March 2018, winning his first race in Ireland in the Join Us On Instagram @dundalk_stadium Handicap.

For owner Bartholomew Murphy and trainer Thomond O’Mara Well Suited had Tom Madden in the plate on this occasion.

The successful chestnut beat favourite, Foreign Legion and Sunset Nova by a length and a neck.

The winner had raced in mid-division, and he was closer in fifth two furlongs out. Soon pushed along Well Suited was ridden to lead a furlong out, staying on well in the final furlong to seal the deal.

“He's not winning out of turn. He ran well here the other night, from a bad draw, over a mile,” said O'Mara.

“He's getting it together now. He got the splits and everything went right for him tonight.”

W.J. Lee, rider of Dream Tale (GB) trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sunset Nova trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls and hung left in the straight.
