Keanes score with Trimmings

No Trimmings got a lovely split on the rail to run out a convincing winner of the first division of the mile handicap at Dundalk.

It was a father-son success with young apprentice Colin Keane teaming up with trainer Gerry.

The filly was produced to hit the front at the furlong pole and go away for a five-length victory over Curl Cat

It was completing a good week for Keane junior, who had also recorded a success on board Un Hinged at Leopardstown on Thursday and was today partnering his fourth winner.

Three of those successes have come courtesy of today's partner.

The winning trainer was not on hand to welcome back in his charge.

Colm O'Donoghue reported after the race that 4/1 favourite Grace And Beauty never travelled throughout. She was post race normal.

Gary Carroll, who finished fifth on Saint By Day picked up a two-day ban for careless riding.
