Twice Over will not run in the Dubai World Cup on March 31.

Sir Henry Cecil's seven-year-old has had two unsuccessful shots at the Meydan showpiece, and connections have decided not to have another go.

Last season he showed his fire still burns brightly by beating stablemate Midday in the Juddmonte International at York to provide his owner, Prince Khalid Abdullah, with a first win in the race he sponsors.

"He's not going to go to Dubai this year," said Teddy Grimthorpe, Abdullah's racing manager.

"He's fine at the moment but it's too early to say where we'll start off this season.

"We'll just see how he is but his races are pretty much mapped out for him.

"He may be seven, but he remains tremendously enthusiastic.

"It would have been very hard to take him away from Warren Place as everyone is very attached to him there."
