The Dandy Nicholls trained Inxile is the stand out name among the twelve horses entered for the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Naas on Saturday.

The 7yo gelded son of Fayruz won this race back in 2009 and again last year and will be well fancied to record his third success in the five furlong contest this weekend.

He raced in Meydan in the early part of this year failing to score on his five efforts over there.

However he was placed on two of his starts and finished a respectable seventh in the Group 1, Golden Shaheen behind Krypton Factor.

Nicholls could be double-handed in the race as he has also entered the 10yo Tax Free who won the Listed Naas Sprint Stakes twice before in 2007 and 2008.

The David Wachman trained Requinto looks the strongest of the home team.

The 3yo son of Dansili won on four of his eight starts as a 2yo, including the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood in July and the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster in September.

He finished off his season at Longchamp in the Group 1, Prix De L'abbaye finishing a very respectable sixth behind Tangerine Trees.

The John Quinn trained Duchess Dora and the Robert Cowell trained Spirit Quartz could also make the journey across the Irish Sea while recent Listed Cork Stakes first and third The Reaper and Katla look the strongest of the other home contenders.

Balmont Mast for Eddie Lynam, Oor Jock for Pat Shanahan, Redoubtable for Kevin Prendergast, Santo Padre for David Marnane and Celerina for Tommy Stack complete the list of possible runners.
