After the victory of his Aklan in the 1m 2f maiden at the Curragh this afternoon trainer John Oxx gave a positive report about his 3yo colt Born To Sea.

Oxx said of the three parts brother to Sea To Stars: “Everything is fine and grand with him.

"He has no problems. You live day to day with horses like him but he is pretty fit and forward and we are happy with him. It’s so far so good."

Born To Sea is best priced 9/1 with Ladbrokes for the Newmarket 2000 Guineas while he can be backed at 20/1 for the Epsom Derby.

He also holds entries for the Irish 2000 Guineas and the Irish Derby.
