Boleybawn Cat came out best in photo-finish finish to the Casey Cattle Slats Handicap Hurdle (div 2) at Wexford today and then needed to survive a stewards' enquiry to hold the race.

Ridden by Andrew Ring, the son of One Cool Cat was all out in the closing stages to hold the challenge of Speed Dial by a short head but the Stewards subsequently enquired into interference on the run-in; the winner having edged left under pressure close home.

The result was left unchanged and winning trainer Philip Rothwell stated “Boleybawn Cat is ground dependent and he is in a handicap at Punchestown on Wednesday so we will see. He is what he is and got lost in the ground the last day."
