Caoimhe's Delight justified good support and 6/4 favouritism to win the concluding Go Racing In Kildare Mares Bumper at Punchestown today

Ridden by Ciaran Fennessy, the daughter of Blueprint went clear early in the straight and stayed on well for a comfortable win over Kymin's Way

Afterwards winning trainer Sean O'Brien stated “my father bred Caoimhe's Delight and it makes things harder as we buried him just over a week ago.

He added “she was always a very useful mare but we had a torrid time last year with a virus and even when she won her point to point, she wasn't right. When she got beaten in Tipperary she was left in front and she idles when she gets there – even today she was pulling up a bit. She wants a true run race and will be a lovely mare over jumps.

“Conor O'Dwyer was down looking at her half brother earlier today and he runs in a maiden at Dromahane this weekend - but his price has just gone up!”
