Anonis (25-1) burst a number of bubbles when impressing in the Cheltenham Standard Open NH Flat Race.

A number of his opponents carried big reputations and even bigger reputations but Mags Mullins' charge made light of his 605 day absence from the track.

Shadowing the early moves of Tony McCoy aboard Westward Point in the first half of the race, Danny Mullins' mount eased alongside coming down the hill and soon took up the running.

The well backed Fascino Rustico was in his slipstream and still hadn't been asked for an effort but Ruby Walsh could soon be seen pushing along and it was left for The Liquidator to throw down a challenge.

The hopes of his supporters were soon bankrupt as the son of Tiger Hill galloped on relentlessly to record a five lengths success with the third, Hannibal The Great, fully 13 lengths adrift.

The winning trainer said: "He's a good horse. I think a lot of him.

"He's a powerful galloper and has done everything I've asked from him at home.

"We might go for one more bumper, but it's up to Barry (Connell, owner) what we do next. It's great for Irish racing."
