No joy for Weld duo in Hollywood

Emulous finished sixth in the Matriarch Stakes

Emulous could finish only sixth for trainer Dermot Weld in Sunday's Matriarch Stakes at Hollywood Park.

The five-year-old had won one of three starts before heading to California for the Grade One heat, which was won by Better Lucky.

Jeremy Noseda's Grandeur fared better in the Hollywood Derby later on the same card, finishing second behind Unbridled Command.

Weld's Speaking Of Which had no luck during the race. He was badly hampered and pulled up turning into the straight.
