Leicester look again

Sunday's meeting at Leicester is now subject to a 10.30am inspection after an initial check proved inconclusive.

Although temperatures have dipped to minus 7C, clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson refused to admit defeat following an early-morning assessment.

He said: "We still think we have a chance. It's still minus 7C, but the frost sheets have done their job. We now need the sun to play its part."
