Owner Dai Walters is pleased to have the right team behind him when Oscar Whisky bids to win the Unicoin Homes Relkeel Hurdle for the second year running at Cheltenham on Saturday.

The creator of Ffos Las racecourse is delighted Barry Geraghty maintains his 100% association with his smart hurdler trained by Nicky Henderson.

They have chalked up 12 wins from 16 starts together and Oscar Whisky will probably be long odds-on to dispense with just the two rivals, Brampour and Crack Away Jack, after scaring off most of the opposition.

"There's just the three runners and I think he's the best horse in the race," said Walters.

"Obviously the ground is going to be soft and he handled it last time no problem when winning at Ascot.

"It should be a nice run round for him.

"I expect Barry (Geraghty) will take them on from the start, but I will leave to Nicky (Henderson) and Barry how to ride him.

"Barry is the only jockey to have ridden him in all his 16 races and he's a good pilot.

"We'll see how he goes before deciding on his next race. There's a race on New Year's Day back at Cheltenham which he won last year.

"You've got to take advantage of the weather. He lost a couple of meetings last year through the weather, including the Welsh Champion Hurdle."
