Oscar Whisky had little difficulty in recording back-to-back wins in the Osborne House Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Nicky Henderson's seven year old was sent off at just 1/5 to beat his two rivals in the extended two and a half mile Grade Two contest and landed the odds with the minimum of fuss.
Barry Geraghty immediately sent his mount - who he's now ridden to 13 wins from 17 starts - to the front and the pair were never headed.
Crack Away Jack did close up to around a length coming down the hill but Geraghty let out an inch of rein and the Dai Walters-owned gelding immediately left his rival toiling with Brampour even further back having failed to run any sort of race.
Oscar Whisky kept on well up the hill to score by 19 lengths despite clearly not been at home on the ground and supplemented last year's gains in this historic race when he'd obliged at the comparatively rewarding odds of 4/9.
Henderson said: "Barry and I both just said when he wins like that how can he not stay three miles.
"I'm not saying we're going down the three-mile route but I'm sure there was something wrong with him that day in March (World Hurdle).
"He can come here again in January and go to Ffos Las but if the entries closed for Cheltenham tomorrow goodness knows what we'd put him in."
