Eddie O'Connell is expected to make his return to action at Downpatrick on Thursday after being side lined through injury for the last few weeks.

The young jockey injured his shoulder at Clonmel on December 6th when his mount Jack The Pirate fell heavily.

Speaking at Navan yesterday, O'Connell's agent Niall Cronin said: "Eddie had a slight crack on the AC joint of his shoulder, and is giving it a few more days. He'll be back at Downpatrick on Thursday all going well."
