The ground at Leopardstown is now yielding to soft ahead of their Christmas festival meeting.

The forecast is for the weather to be mainly dry with sunny spells today. Rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

Down Royal, who race on St Stephen's Day, report the ground up north to be still soft to heavy.

The other festive meeting is at Limerick and the ground there remains heavy.

Thurles hold the final pre-Christmas meeting this Sunday and report the hurdles track soft and the chase track heavy.

Crus decision to be left late

David Pipe has stated a decision on the participation of Grands Crus in the William Hill King George at Kempton on Boxing Day will be left until as late as possible.
