Two fences will be omitted in the chases at Thurles today due to ground conditions at the Tipperary track.

The fourth and fifth last fences will be taken out in the opening two handicap chases.

The ground is now heavy with soft to heavy places on the hurdles and bumper track.

The hurdles track had been described as soft to heavy first thing this morning after 1.2mm of rain overnight.

Will there be another Irish winner at Aintree?

A lot has been said recently about the fact that the Irish contingent at Cheltenham tend to stoke up the fires of Anglo-Irish needle with their flag waving and chest beating due to our incredible success in recent years. As pointed out previously, this is nothing more than a bit of harmless fun that some folk on both sides of the Irish Sea take a little too seriously.
