Oscars Business ran out a very easy winner of the Student Raceday 11th April Mares Beginners Chase providing her trainer Robert Tyner with a quick double on the card.

The 8yo daughter of Oscar Schindler was sent off the 6/4 favourite on her sixth start over fences.

She won three point-to-points earlier in her career and added a bumper and a maiden hurdle since starting out on the racecourse proper.

Prominent throughout her task was made easier by the fall of 13/8 second favourite Dangan Daylight at the first and Magical Mother at the third last.

She travelled best into the straight and went clear approaching the last, staying on well from there to record an easy twenty-one length success. Gerdalia finished second at 5/1 for Sean Aherne and Martin Ferris while Mrs Henderson was third at 33/1.

Robert Tyner said afterwards: "She was entitled to win. She has been knocking on the door and has a lot of experience. Having said that, the other fancied horse fell.

"She is rated high enough and it is hard to know where to go with her now. She could step up to three miles. She will go for those mares races now."
