Golden Plan and Kate Harrington won the final race of the calendar year as they hacked up in the ladies bumper at Tramore.

The winner showed a good turn of foot to demolish his rivals in the final furlong drawing clear to win as he liked by five and a half lengths.

Favourite backers were out of luck again as Paul Fahey's point-to-point winner paid 6/1. Silverpockets showed her first piece of meaningful form as she chased the winner home at 16/1 while 4/5 favourite Waylander had to settle for third.

Paul Fahey said of the six-year-old: "He's owned by my mother and she's not too well. She hasn't been racing for a while and that will cheer her up.

"We worked three horses a fortnight ago and all three seemed to go well, but it had us wondering. [He'llberemembered won at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day and Lots Of Memories was second on the same card].

"He won his point-to-point three weeks ago. We'll go for a winners bumper and wait to go hurdling next season.

"I was quietly confident coming here today."
