Eddie Lynam is preparing his star sprinter Sole Power for a third successive trip to the Dubai Carnival this winter.

The six-year-old was narrowly beaten in the Meydan Sprint in early March and the Al Quoz Sprint on Dubai World Cup night last year, and the same two events are on his agenda again.

He was last seen finishing fifth in testing ground in the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp in October, but is now back in training and in the early stages of his preparation for his trip across the globe.

"There's not a bother on him. He is only just starting back after a break and he'll head out to Dubai at the end of February," said Lynam.

"The plan is for him to run in the Meydan Sprint on Super Saturday and then hopefully run on World Cup night, but we'll see how we get on."

Lynam also had news of his two other leading lights, Slade Power and Viztoria.

Slade Power won a couple of Listed events last season and was not beaten far in the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot in October.

Viztoria absolutely bolted up on her first two starts and signed off her juvenile year with a fine second in a French Group Two, leaving her in contention for a shot at this year's fillies' Classics.

"Slade Power got injured at Ascot and is only just starting walking and trotting now, so there aren't any plans for him at the moment," said Lynam.

"Viztoria has just come back in as well, so it's early doors for her.

"We'll see how she gets on before we make any plans."
