This afternoon's meeting at Catterick has passed an 8am precautionary inspection and goes ahead as planned.

Although temperatures dipped to minus 3C at around 6am, course officials are confident there will be no frost by the time of racing.

The going is currently soft, good to soft in places. The seven-race card is the only action over jumps in England or Ireland today.

Tony McCoy has two rides on the card both for trainer Martin Keighley.

There are also three all-weather meetings on across the water today at Kempton, Lingfield and Wolverhampton.

Unusually for a Thursday there is no racing at home.
