Testing ground again this weekend

Jumping action this weekend is at Punchestown and Navan, and the going is currently described as heavy at both venues.

The Grade 3 Juvenile Hurdle and the Amateur National for the Conyngham Cup are the main events on a seven race card at Punchestown on Saturday.

Navan holds centrestage on Sunday with the 0-140 Foxrock Handicap Chase the feature on another seven race card.

Flat action continues on the polytrack at Dundalk this evening, with the first on an eight race card at 5.50pm.

The weather forecast is for some drizzle today to clear later, with tomorrow mainly dry.

However there is the prospect of some rain and sleet on Sunday.
