He's napped in the trade paper for the industry and Ireland's leading layer has clipped him in from an opening quote of 11/1 into 4/1 so Politeo is worth a look in Wincanton's 2.40 after that track beat the weather.

Now trained by Nick Williams, this French-bred raced in the colours of Gigginstown House Stud over here and he was handled for them by Paul Nolan. Indeed he was on the mark three times for the Wexford operator, scoring with Davy Russell up twice and latterly with Michael Doran in the plate at Down Royal.

Bought by his current owner, Michael Stenning, at Doncaster in August 2011 for £20,000, he'll be ridden in today's two mile five furlong event by Wexford-man, Grand National winning pilot, Daryl Jacob, and a drop back in trip is expected to suit him.

Irish raider, Houdini Bright has been another 'mover' this morning, going from 11s into 15/2 for the 5.50 at Wolverhampton. Dermot 'Red' McLoughlin trains this grey and he'll be ridden by Graham Gibbons. (EM)
