This afternoon's English jumps card at Exeter got the go ahead after a second inspection of the course.

The track was found to be raceable at an 8am inspection after soaking up 12 millimetres in the early hours very well.

However, with as much as 20mm of rain forecast before 1pm, officials decided to take another look at 10am.

The card features a clash between exciting young recruits Puffin Billy and Melodic Rendezvous in the Listed Bathwick Tyres Plymouth Novices' Hurdle.
