The British Horeseracing Authority's handicapper has raised My Tent Or Yours by 13lbs following his impressive win in Saturday's Betfair Hurdle.

Nicky Henderson's five year old sluiced up in the ultra-competitive handicap at Newbury from a mark of 149 on just his fourth start over hurdles.

As a result, his handicap mark has shot up to a perch of 162 - a rating which is in the same ball park as many of the recent winners of the Stan James Champion Hurdle.

The JP McManus owned gelding would need to be supplemented for the blue riband race, a contest for which he already has former winner Binocular entered, and Henderson has indicated that My Tent Or Yours is likelier to line-up in the William Hill Supreme Novices.

McManus, of course, also owns Jezki who headed the ante-post market for Tuesday's opening contest before being usurped by My Tent Or Yours.

In other news from Newbury, Silviniaco Conti was raised 3lbs to a mark of 175 following his defeat of The Giant Bolster in the Denman Chase.

Thistlecrack Return Marks Start Of Jumping Season

Fans of jumps racing have been rejoicing over the past month with the return of some of the stars of the sport to the track and although the action will ramp up another notch in November, there has still been plenty to take in during the first few weeks of the ‘proper’ National Hunt season in the UK.
