Utopie Des Bordes retained her unbeaten British record in the Listed Jane Seymour Mares' Novice Hurdle at Sandown.

Nicky Henderson's recruit was smart in France and went off the 11-10 favourite after opening her account at Doncaster.

When Twigline crashed out at the last, Barry Geraghty's most significant danger was She Ranks Me, but she held her off bravely.

Henderson said: "She's not very big but she can jump and she will go for the Albert Bartlett as we know she stays and the owner has Une Artiste for the David Nicholson.

"She's been jumping fences round Auteuil so hurdles should be easy for her and she's doing well. The beauty of her was she was still a novice over hurdles. This was the obvious stepping-stone for her."
