Simonsig heads Arkle 21

Simonsig tops 21 entries for the Racing Post Arkle Trophy at the latest forfeit stage.

Nicky Henderson's exciting grey is unbeaten so far over fences and odds-on for the Grade One contest, won by stablemate Sprinter Sacre last season.

Second-favourite Overturn stands his ground as do Fago, Captain Conan and Arvika Ligeonniere, who also hold an entries in the Jewson Novices' Chase.

The same applies to Oscars Well and Benefficient, while Twinlight remains in the entries despite losing his unbeaten record over fences at Navan.

There are no real surprises among the absentees, with handicap-bound Cantlow and RSA possible Boston Bob scratched from the line-up along with Tetlami, whose defection leaves Henderson with a maximum of two runners.
