Mossey Joe will aim to get back on the winning trail in a point-to-point at Rathcannon this weekend.

Owner Barry Connell paid £160,000 for the 11-year-old in January and put him into training with Enda Bolger.

Winner of the Stratford Champion Hunters' Chase for former connections, he was below par in his first two starts for Bolger, but the trainer believes he can improve on those showings.

"We struggled to get Mossey Joe right last season," said Bolger.

"It was a bit of rush to get him to Aintree but I think he's in better form now.

"He's going to ruin in a point-to-point this weekend.

"On The Fringe (third at Cheltenham, won at Punchestown) will go down the Foxhunters' route again."
