Gordon Elliott is considering sending Bayan and Flaxen Flare over to Haydock for the inaugural Betfair Price Rush Hurdle on November 22.

The new race is worth £100,000 and run over two miles and already has the added bonus of being the stated next aim for Nigel Twiston-Davies' The New One, one of the favourites for the Champion Hurdle.

Elliott has a tremendous record with his runners in Britain and in Bayan, partly owned by At The Races presenter Gary O'Brien, and Cheltenham Festival winner Flaxen Flare, he has two likely candidates.

"The new Betfair Price Rush Hurdle is a race we are definitely looking at and I would say at this stage we would be most likely to enter Bayan and Flaxen Flare," said Elliott.

"Both horses put up very encouraging performances on their return to action and we would hoping there is going to be some more improvement to come from them this season."
