Dromahane meeting now starts at 1pm

The Duhallow Kanturk point-to-point at Dromahane this Sunday, May 20th, will now commence at 1pm and not as previously advertised.

Terrific Tammys wins again

Just six days after winning a Hunters Chase at Down Royal on Monday afternoon Tammys Hill went back to his roots as he recorded his sixth point-to-point victory of the season at Sligo Racecourse point-to-point this afternoon.

The 7yo son of Tamayaz, who is trained by Liam Lennon, showed no ill effects from Monday's exploits as he proved four lengths too good for Tyrone Gold Rain under Derek O'Connor for his brother Paurick.

Prince lords it over Kilbeggan opponents

There was plenty of chat about Prince Ludovic when he won his 'point' for Shane Donohoe at Loughbrickland in March 2011 and he was promptly snapped up by current connections for £80,000 the following month. After a maiden hurdle success at Clonmel 37 days ago, the Luso gelding showed his prowess in the jumping department to score on his chasing bow under Davy Russell in the Westmeath Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan.

Madam & Nina Tops at Kilbeggan

Donal Coffey has put many good horses through his hands, the latest of which, Cloudy Copper, a winner at Lemonfield in March, is now reportedly in the ownership of J P McManus and under the care of Jonjo O'Neill. The Midleton, County Cork handler was on the mark for the first time since June 2010 on the racecourse proper when Top Madam won under Nina Carberry in the concluding kilbegganraces.ie (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.

Battlefront records his sixth win in-a-row

The Ted Walsh trained, three time track winner Battlefront recorded his sixth point-to-point victory in-a-row at Laurencetown in Co Galway this afternoon.

Ridden by Katie Walsh (who rode him to victory on the last five ocassions) the 10yo son of Pistolet Bleu brushed aside his three rivals to come home an easy six length winner from Ambobo back in second in the Boylesports Ladies Open.

Having started off his sequence of wins at Castletown-Geoghegan back in October of last year the bay gelding has since scored at Kilsheelan, Kildorrery, Ballyragget and Borris House.
