He's a grand honest horse. Ours normally all come on from their first run and I thought he'd come on from it as well. Davy said he had a nice blow. The race suited him, he gave him a good ride and he jumped well. That's why Davy is so good. If they had gone an end-to-end flat out gallop it would have played straight into Rashaan's hands. Rashaan was only getting going at the end. It was a nice race to win. I'd say we'll look at the Troytown at Navan with him. Gordon Elliott, trainer

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rashaan, trained by Colin Kidd, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

A steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards which have not won more than one steeplechase
Weights - 11st 5lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Allowances - Horses that have not won a steeplechase before 1st February, 2018 allowed 4lb
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase 7lb extra;
