The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Dr. Lynn Hillier , concerning the fact that the vaccinations contained in the Passport for Gran Geste (Fr), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle were incorrect. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and Dr. Lynn Hillier. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Gran Geste (FR) under the provisions of Rule 90 and fined the trainer ?350. The matter was referred to the Chief Executive of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board for further investigation.
Rachael Blackmore, rider of True Self, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount got tight for room down the back straight but of no consequence.
