D.G. Hogan, rider of Ocean Glandore, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room at the bottom bend and was forced to check. The Stewards interviewed R.W.T. Brabazon, trainer of Kindly Vinnie, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had difficulty applying the tongue strap to his charge which caused the delay. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards severely cautioned the trainer regarding his responsibilities with regard to parade ring procedures in future.
