It looked all over at one stage but Hidden Agent just tired enough in the last 150 yards for Drumconvis to land the spoils for Ruby Walsh. Hidden Agent had been well clear of his rivals as much as possibly 30-lengths at one stage and showed little signs of stopping until the turn into the straight but after the last he failed to hold on all out under Philip Carberry.

Drumconvis was held up by Walsh and did well to come out of the pack to head Hidden Agent and after bolting up at Naas in February he was overturned at odds of 1/3 four days later but the break has no doubt done him the world of good and it will be interesting to see how he fares out next time around in a truer run race.

Rare Bob finished third for a remarkable fifth consecutive occasion and a sixth time in 10 career starts and it is amazing to think that he still remains a maiden. A race of this nature is not beyond him but his luck has just not been in but there would be hardly a more consistent or deserving winner of a race.

The Bay Lad was held up at the rear of mid division and stayed on to take fourth and his form would be good enough to suggest that connections will be able to look forward to plenty of fun this son of Supreme Leader.

Prudent Honour stayed on well having been up there early while John?s Eliza was pulled up after been very keen early on.

Market principal Bellflower Boy never really got into it and on assessment by the Turf Club vet he was found to be post race normal.
