ASIAN ROYALE looked sure to win from his current hurdle mark but took plenty of time to get his head in front. The winner received a well judged ride today and although sure to incur a penalty for this, his general consistency does mean he can take beating again next time out.

BLUESEA CRACKER was unlucky to come up against the winner but is sure to take plenty of beating in a similar event next time out while 11yo HILL PORT returned to something near his best form of years ago with a well beaten third.

L'ACAJOU is no star but will probably win average races from his current mark.

LIMESTREAM should win again in time, while SELECTION BOX stayed on in the straight and showed improved form here.

Non-Runner was Tarkani (ground).
