An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final fence when the winner, Ready And Able (IRE), ridden by Jonjo O’Neill Jr interfered with Le Musee (FR), placed third, ridden by David Noonan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Ready And Able (IRE) as the winner had come from behind and idled in front with the beaten margin 1 ½ lengths.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ready And Able (IRE) had lugged badly left into Le Musee (FR) despite the rider’s efforts at trying to straighten him.
